How We Can Help
At Foundations Of Hope, we are dedicated to stepping up efforts to address the issue of Family and Domestic Violence and Abuse (FDV).
The goal of Foundations Of Hope is to represent the FDV survivor community with a clear and informed voice to government policy, agencies and the wider community; helping to clarify the true nature, impact and necessary help needed to assist those women and children impacted by FDV.
Providing support for those living through and beyond FDV is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we know Foundations Of Hope can facilitate progress in this area.
sisters of Hope
One step is where we have established an initiative known as the “Sisters of Hope” program.
This is a survivor only program for a community of women including their children to share their journey with one another and foster connections and support in non-judgmental, safe and confidential environments that Foundations Of Hope facilitate.
This program includes access to appropriately trained staff in regards to FDV, reputable information, and the appropriate help via referral to support services. Already, this is one of our most popular initiatives, leading to almost 150 women (not including their children) being able to utilise our safe, non-judgmental, confidential environments.
Promoting validation and acknowledgement, fostering learning and facilitating empowerment, connecting, sharing, and inspiration are what we strive for together.
